Racial Justice Action (RJA) is a new MZMC program emerging from members asking for organized activities to support work for racial justice outside the walls of MZMC. RJA is focused on partnering with community groups and following the leadership of people of color to honor our vows to practice for the well-being of all.
The RJA steering committee Ted O'Toole, Ben Connelly, and Jey Ehrenhalt invites you to RJA's first offering: Twin Cities Justice for Jamar, which formed after the killing of Jamar Clark by Minneapolis police officers in 2015, will provide education and dialogue at MZMC about their campaign to have the City of Minneapolis adopt a charter amendment which creates a Civilian Police Accountability Commission, which would provide powerful civilian oversight over policing in Minneapolis.
