In a Hatha Yoga practice we move through a series of asanas slowly and intentionally, holding each pose for several breaths. This slower pace allows us to focus on the proper alignment of each posture as it lands in each individual, finding the “perfect” expression for your yoga practice each day, while building strength and flexibility in our bodies. Yoga is very much an embodied experience, bringing awareness to and aligning the physical body, mental body, and energy body as we move through each asana. My experience with the joining together of these three yoga bodies in my asana practice has directly impacted my sitting practice by establishing a stronger and more readily available connection between the body and mind. I hope you will find this connection as well.
This class is designed to be accessible for the novice as well as challenging for the experienced yogi. There are many options and modifications for each pose to offer accessibility to any age, body type, and flexibility level. Just bring a yoga mat and towel, maybe a water bottle and any blocks or straps your may have to use in your practice. A limited number of clean mats and mat towels will be available for those needing them. Please reach out with any questions! [email protected]
