Mentorship

MZMC is happy to offer mentorship to active members who would like more direct guidance in their Zen practice lives. Seven of our teachers (Tim Burkett, Ben Connelly, Busshō Lahn, Susan Nelson, Deb Mielke, Wayne Moskowitz, and Ted O'Toole) are available to serve as mentors for those interested in deepening their relationship with an experienced practitioner and with their own spiritual lives. To learn more about these teachers, click here.

More details:
  • The mentor relationship is a three-month commitment and is renewable
  • Mentorship is for members who are actively engaged in practice with the MZMC community.
  • Mentees meet with their mentors once or twice a month at MZMC
  • Dokusan or practice meetings can be part of this relationship, but mentorship is not limited to formal meetings
  • For more information or to be connected with a mentor, please contact Busshō Lahn through the MZMC office.

Our hope is that this program offers members the chance to get more one-to-one time with teachers to ask questions, get support and guidance, and get to know each other better than we might in a more strict practice setting.
