Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility

Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility

Our Equity Statement

Minnesota Zen Meditation Center welcomes every person who seeks to do Zen practice: ethical living and meditation.  We work to remove barriers based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, class, sexual orientation, age, and ability.  We thrive by celebrating what we share and our differences.

MZMC’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) committee advises the guiding teacher Ted O’Toole. Its members are Janet Brown, Ben Connelly, Carrie Garcia, Minna Jain, Chris Jones, and Ted O’Toole. Our practice is to bring our vision to reality:

Diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) are embodied throughout MZMC. MZMC continually works to dismantle privilege and oppression through teachings, practice, organizational culture, policies, and operations to realize our vow to awaken together with all beings.
